In the Near North community, immediately north of the Chicago's downtown, is an historic area of quiet tree-lined residential streets. Old Town was one of the first neighborhoods to be gentrified, almost 40 years ago. Today, it is home to some of Chicago's finest and most expensive housing. A neighbor of Lincoln Park, Old Town's main thoroughfares includes Division, Armitage, Clark and Halsted.
The amenities of the Loop (downtown Chicago) and the exciting Lincoln Park neighborhood are a short distance away, but residents only have to go a few blocks to experience some of the cities finest, restaurants, theaters, boutiques and clubs.
Additionally, it affords residents immediate access to the prestigious Steppenwolf Theater and the Second City Comedy Club. Lake Michigan and Lincoln Park (the stretch of parks and beaches along the shore) is also steps away.

Each June, Old Town hosts one of America's oldest art fairs. Over 250 artists are represented with disciplines that include drawing, painting, photography, ceramic, glass, jewelry, metal and many more. Additionally, there are many street festivals to enjoy on weekends throughout the summer.
Famous for distinctive architectural character, the area is packed with charming cottages, rowhouses and townhouses of both brick and frame construction. Many of its streets are narrow, giving it an intimate, historic feel. Several high-rise buildings with park and lake views run along the edge of the park.
