Ukrainian Village is a unique neighborhood located on both sides of Chicago Avenue. It is one of the most distinct areas of Chicago. Combined with East Village, Wicker Park, Noble Square, and Eckhart Park, Ukrainian Village makes up the West Town.
Real Estate is distinct in the Ukrainian village. Homes constructed by William D. Kerfoot are the most desirable in the city because of a combination of their convenience and Victorian-style exterior. These buildings built between 1886 and 1950 based on Kerfoot's designs and by his construction company, form about a third of housing in the Ukrainian Village.
