Loop

The Loop is "downtown" and the heart of Chicago's bustling business district. It gets its name from the CTA's elevated tracks that loop the area and provide unparalleled transportation to the rest of the city and the suburbs. In the last few years, its residential opportunities have grown tremendously as city dwellers seek to live, work and play in close proximity.

Bounded between Franklin, Wabash, Van Buren and Lake Street, pocket and nearby neighborhoods include the New East Side, the South Loop, Printer's Row, Central Station and Dearborn Park.

While always a destination for the world's businesses, the Loop is an easy walk to the Michigan Avenue shops and office buildings, and LaSalle Street financial centers. After hours, the Loop comes alive with restaurants, boutiques, book and antique stores.

With a golf course, two marinas and Grant Park nearby, and the city's great theaters and museums within easy walking distance, residents find that it is easy to incorporate recreation and culture into everyday life.

The Loop's Housing

The Loop boasts a variety of price ranges and predominately offers high-rise condominiums. Many feature magnificent panoramic views of downtown and surrounding areas.

Immediately south, there are hundreds of acres of open land sprouting new subdivisions with single-family homes, townhomes, mid-rise condominiums and apartments surrounded by parks and playgrounds. Printer's Row is another area with condominiums and lofts that occupy former warehouses, printing plants and other historic buildings.
